As Israel, the UAE and Bahrain are leading in vaccinations it is important to monitor some of the developments that are taking place. On January 20 Israel media reported that despite record numbers of positive Covid tests, there were also some 200,000 who had been vaccinated in the last day. In addition some 500,000 have received their second dose and more than 2 million have received their first of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine.
now a "new serological study has found that participants who have received the second dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus vaccine have developed 6-20 times more antibodies for the pathogen, Sheba Medical Center said in a statement on Monday," a report notes. This comes on the heels of other reports that said the first dose provided some protection after several weeks. Now many Israelis are lined up as the country enables those over 40 to get their vaccines. With many hundreds of thousands getting the second jab this new information will help the public understand how they may react to the vaccination and the benefits they receive.
